More Collaboration between Japan and Uzbekistan

At the heart of MAEDA Japan Consulting is a passionate and dedicated individual, Hasan Islom. His journey from a small startup in the tech industry to founding a pioneering consulting firm is a testament to his vision and commitment to bridging the gap between Uzbekistan and Japan. With a focus on education, trade, and organizational partnerships, Hasan’s work is set to transform opportunities for countless individuals and businesses in both countries.

Background and Education:

Hasan Islom, originally from Uzbekistan, has always been driven by a desire to connect cultures and create meaningful opportunities. His academic journey took him to an International University in Japan, where he was awarded a 65% tuition reduction scholarship. His time at university was marked by active participation in extracurricular activities, organizing student events, and volunteering for the Uzbekistan Youth Association in Japan (UYAJ). He also demonstrated remarkable dedication by traveling across Japan by bicycle for 35 days.

Professional Journey:

After graduating, Hasan worked at a small startup specializing in developing e-commerce websites. His role primarily focused on digital marketing and sales, but his involvement spanned multiple areas of the business. His hands-on experience in the tech industry, combined with his multilingual skills (Uzbek, Tajik, Russian, English, and Japanese), equipped him with a unique perspective on international business and digital solutions.

Founding MAEDA Japan Consulting:

Inspired by the hard work and excellent English skills of Uzbekistani youth, Hasan noticed a significant gap in awareness about higher education opportunities in Japan. Together with his wife, Maeda Kimiko, they founded MAEDA Japan Consulting in June 2024 to address this gap. Their mission is to educate Uzbekistani youth about the benefits of studying in Japan, providing them with multiple university choices and guiding them towards scholarships to reduce financial barriers.

Services Offered:

MAEDA Japan Consulting offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to connect Japan and Uzbekistan:

  1. Study Abroad in Japan: Assisting prospective students with university applications, establishing university partnerships, and attracting more students. Partnering with language teaching centers to facilitate higher education in Japan.
  2. Export and Import: Conducting market research and helping companies find buyers and sell products. Facilitating exports of high-quality cotton products from Uzbekistan to Japan and vice versa, with ongoing discussions and promising prospects.
  3. Organizational Partnerships: Assisting organizations in finding partners in the other country. For example, helping the Uzbekistan Karate Federation establish a partnership with the Japan Karate Association, and supporting Japanese companies in finding partners and buyers in Uzbekistan.

Hasan is not just a business leader but also a community influencer. He is active on social media with a substantial following, sharing his insights and experiences to inspire and educate others. His dedication to bridging cultural and educational gaps is evident in his proactive approach and the numerous accolades he has received over the years.
